Tefillin Shadchan

Uplifting the Bar Mitzvah Experience

Our Tefillin Shadchan program ensures that every bar mitzvah boy receives tefillin without financial stress by matching them with donated pairs, arranging pickups and deliveries, and providing temporary tefillin loans.

"We ordered tefillin from Israel for our family's bar mitzvah boy, but due to unforeseen circumstances and COVID-19 delays, they weren't ready on time. Chesed of Lakewood came to the rescue. When we asked to borrow a pair until ours arrived, they not only said 'Yes,' but they also gave us a tefillin bag. Their warmth and generosity made our son's bar mitzvah special, as if his tefillin were brand new. We're deeply grateful to Chesed of Lakewood for their incredible support to the community. May they be blessed with health and a long, fruitful life, continuing to help others."
